Kamakhya Temple Timings for Free and Paid Entry
General Entry is free of cost, but devotees start making queues from 5 AM in the morning, so if one has time can go for this option. Generally, it takes 3-4 hours.
VIP Entry has a ticket cost, which needs to be paid to get enter the temple, which is available at the cost of INR 501 per person. By this ticket, one can enter directly to the main sanctum and have holy darshan within 10 minutes.

An important festival is Ambubachi Mela. The crowd is huge during Ambubachi mela in addition darshans are not allowed of Kamakhya Devi.
When the temple reopens, the crowd is unbelievable. Ambubachi Mela starts from 22nd June and temple reopens on 25th June.

If one can come early morning around 5-6 AM and you may be done with darshan between 9-10 AM
Else if one is willing to pay INR 501,any day, any time when temple is open, is good.
Kamakhya darshan is incomplete without the blessing of Umananda. It is the temple on an island in the Brahmaputra.
