How to reach Kamakhya Temple? Kamakhya Temple located at the Nilachal Hill within the western part of Guwahati in Assam, Kamakhya Temple is one of the respected shrines of Goddess Shakti in India, which discusses the rich historical treasure of the land of the Assam state. One can reach here using, Airways, Railways or Roadways.
Guwahati Airport i.e. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is about 21 KMs from the Temple. This airport is linked to all major Indian airports and some of the International airports. There are many direct flights from Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata and other cities of India. Taxi organized by Airport, OLA, UBER are ply around the city, devotees can take specially run AC bus also to reach the Guwahati city.
The temple is about 8 KMs from Guwahati Railway station and around 6 KMs from Kamakhya Railway Station, but most of the trains stop directly at Guwahati Railway Station only which is largest railway station of Assam. From platform number-1, one can OLA, UBER or prepaid taxis arranged by railway station. There are city buses which are directly plying to Kamakhya Temple and around the city.
